I have no idea where the last few weeks have gone. I had big plans of Christmas crafts, walks lit by sparkly lights, freshly baked cookies delivered to neighbours, and lots of celebrating with friends.
Instead we had cold after cold, night-waking, tired parents and very little in the way of inspiration.
Sometimes you just have to let it all go and remember the important things: family and love.
We still had plenty of fun too. Emily performed in her first Christmas show, we met reindeers and Santa Claus, went skiing, got to know grandparents, painted daily on the new easel (hands down the most popular gift), chose and decorated a beautiful tree, enjoyed Christmas feasting, ate ice creams on the beach on new years day.
It was just right.
